Top 10 Productivity apps for iPad – July 2014: What’s new?
| What is the trend of the Top 10 Productivity apps for iPad this month?Let’s have a look at the Top 10 Productivity apps Charts (source: AppAnnie):
Things have not really changed compared to June’s Top 10 Productivity apps. Then, we notice that 70% of the apps (Free and Paid) are for documents creation and management. More precisely, 25% of the apps are for documents creation and all for Free. They are in fact Office suites for iPad from Microsoft and Google. Then, the 45% left are for documents management and mostly paid ones. In fact, cloud based document management apps are Free and from big brands (Google, Dropbox) while iPad based documents management apps are for Paid. The rest are apps for Note Taking (15%, all Paid) or for Mail inboxes (10%, all Free). To conclude, we can see that the Free productivity apps are still under the dominance of the big branded editor like Google, Microsoft or Yahoo and are also the most profitable. However, we’ll wait until next month to see if the newly 10th Free Productivity app from a ‘little” developer is still competing with the Giants. |
